We are The George Washington University's chapter of the Young Americans for Freedom, a part of the Young America's Foundation.
GWU YAF is a place where conservative students can meet like-minded young Americans and advocate for their freedoms and beliefs.
GWU YAF strives to create meaningful, long-lasting memories. We bring in dozens of influential speakers every year, fly students out to national conservative political conferences, and host regular YAF social events.
We work hard to ensure that our members have a safe space to express their political views and meet like-minded individuals throughout the United States. These efforts allow GWU YAF to have one of the strongest internship and job placement rates out of any political organization at GW. We're proud to say that many of our members have held over 3 internships throughout their time at GW. We are also proud to say that GW YAF members have interned or worked in every major U.S. government office. Whether it's on Capitol Hill, The Treasury, the World Bank, or even the White House, we have YAF connections everywhere and are dedicated to putting our members in competitive professional positions.
Beyond the organizational goals of YAF, we work hard to create a culture that our members can be proud of. We hold our leaders to a high standard, closely follow government/policy developments, and try our best to be knowledgeable, respectful, and professional.

Jipson Zhang
President
Jipson oversees all of GWU YAF's operations. He's the head of our organization and the brain behind all of our operations, events, marketing efforts, and political endeavors.
Will Geist
Vice President
Will assists GWU YAF's President in overseeing all of our organization's operations and strategies. He plans and approves events, operations, marketing, and more.
Jack Meagher
Director of Engagement
Jack is in charge of GWU YAF's engagement. He shapes our organization's image, oversees member recruitment, and is responsible for creating community amongst conservative students.
Sophia Lord
Director of Political Affairs
Sophia is in charge of GWU YAF's political affairs. She is responsible for politician engagement, releasing statements to current world events, and determining our organization's political values and positions.
Alyssa Wismar
Secretary
Alyssa is responsible for keeping GWU YAF organized and informed. She handles internal communication, maintains meeting records, distributes leadership memos, and documents all YAF events.
